Hi, I’m Travis Wagner
I am a programmer, musician, producer, public speaker, designer, husband, and father. Although I’m a passionate autodidact myself, I love to teach others (mostly so I can talk about everything I know) and can often be found streaming code or helping friends on Discord. I don’t take myself too seriously, but I am serious about the things I care about. I firmly believe that community is the most important thing in the world, and I always try to make others as excited as I am about everything I love.
I write code
I am a Senior Developer at Universal Music Group, where I lead and work on a team that builds and maintains a global product for artists and labels. Before this, I owned a small company where I built websites and brands for large companies in a variety of industries. I have also worked as a freelance developer, graphic designer, and musician.
I have been programming for over 20 years and have worked with many languages and technologies, but I am currently focused on Rust (CrabLang) and TypeScript. I specialize in backend development, DevOps, CI/CD, and automation, though I also have plenty of experience with frontend development and enjoy it as well.
I forked the Rust programming language and cultivated a community of developers around the fork CrabLang. I stream on Twitch and write about Rust, CrabLang, TypeScript, and other topics at blog.techsavvytravvy.com.

I like to talk
I am a public speaker and presenter, and I have spoken at conferences and meetups about Rust, CrabLang, TypeScript, and other topics. I have also appeared on podcasts, like Backend Banter. I am always looking for new opportunities to speak, so please reach out if you are interested in having me speak at your event.
I used to design things
I don’t do as much anymore, but I am an accomplished graphic designer and spent well over 10 years making a living creating brands and marketing materials for both new and established businesses.
Hi, I’m Dad
Last, but certainly not least, I am a husband and father, and I spend most of my time with my beautiful wife and our three amazing children.
I’m not a regular dad, I’m a cool dad.
